Man shot in the back Thursday evening on Pinewood Avenue

CHATTNOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are investigating another shooting on Pinewood Avenue in Brainerd.

It happened just before 6 PM Thursday evening.

21 year old Geonta Gaines showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Witnesses say he was shot in the back as he was getting into a vehicle in the 3300 block of Pinewood Avenue.

The injury is considered serious, but not life-threatening.
