Wreaths Across America arrivals Saturday at National Cemetery

Time changes by weather, convoy details from US Xpress Saturday morning

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Weather forecast is changing plans for the placement of holiday wreaths on Saturday at the National Cemetery.

The noon program at the cemetery has been cancelled.

Instead, volunteers will just focus on placing the wreaths.

This year they have a new record of almost 30,000 to place on grave stones around the cemetery.

That process begins at 10 AM.

The wreaths will arrive earlier in the morning with an honor guard.

Police will escort a cavalcade of delivery trucks along with the Patriotic Guard Riders, Combat Veterans Club and private vehicles.

The convoy begins at US Xpress at 7:30 AM, take U.S. 27 North to Fourth Street, turning at Holtzclaw to get to the cemetery.

They expect to arrive there by 8 AM.
