Reward climbs to $20,000 in 3 month old Grove Street shootings involving 7 victims
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Nearly 3 months after two women were killed and five other people were injured, there are still no arrests in the Grove Street shootings.
Chattanooga Police need additional information and cooperation from eyewitnesses.
Mayor Tim Kelly, Minister Kevin Muhammad, Chattanooga interim police chief Eric Tucker and others were at the Community Haven on North Hickory Street this afternoon to announce that there is a large cash reward in this case.
Mayor Kelly says “A total reward of $20,000 is now available to anyone who can provide information that will lead to be arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting. But we can’t do it alone. We’ve got to have the witnesses come forth. As brother Mohammed say it so that justice can be done. On behalf of the victims and their families our neighbors and this community.”
Minister Kevin Muhammad adds “You can’t put a value on someone’s life. That’s a small token on our part and on the mayors part to show that we care, but we are interested in the well-being of our community and that we want justice for these families. So there is no value, there’s not enough money on the earth that could replace the lives that were lost.”
