Durham To Add Monitors to Hamilton Co. Bus Routes

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Durham School Bus Services is currently looking for additional monitors to ride along through the buses contracted by the Hamilton County Department of Education.

Durham is looking for 30- new monitors to be dispersed throughout different routes, however they will be working with Hamilton County School Board on the which routes will receive monitors and which ones will not.

This is confirmed through Carina Noble, Vice- President of Communications at Durham, who says  that there are currently 64- special needs bus routes that have bus monitors.

Noble says that this course of action was initiated by Durham.

Currently 10- people have already been hired and 5- more are currently in training.

According to Noble, trainees will be receiving 6- to- 8 hours of training.
