Driver killed in crash on I 24 entrance ramp

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police report that a driver of an SUV the crashed trying to get onto I 24 overnight was killed.

The victim was 24 year old Michael D. Hyter.

Trffic investigators say it happened around 12:30 AM as the SUV was entering I 24 eastbound on the Market Street ramp.

They say the driver lost control in the curve, slid off the roadway and hit a tree.

Three other people were in the vehicle.

Two of them were injured.
