South Kelly Street home damaged by fire

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga firefighters battled heavy smoke and flames at a home near Eastside Elementary.

The fire broke out after 8 AM at 1705 South Kelly Street.

They did not find anyone inside.

Firefighters quickly got the blaze under control, but the home suffered extensive damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
