Dalton Police looking for a quick change artist suspect

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton Police are looking for a suspected quick change artist.

The incident happened on Monday, February 5th at the Hobby Lobby on East Walnut Avenue.

The suspect brought a small item to the cashier to purchase.

He gave the cashier a $100 bill and then asked for the bill back as they were counting out change.

After more confusing conversation, they say he tricked her into giving him the item and the change she had counted out.

He got away with more than $93.

The Hobby Lobby employees say the same man pulled a similar trick at one of their stores in Atlanta.

The suspect was wearing jeans and a black vest over a gray long sleeved shirt and a tan baseball hat.
