More To The Story: Uniform Business
CHICKAMAUGA, Georgia (WDEF) – The UniFirst Corporation deals with a LOT of uniforms. Selling and washing uniforms. Mostly specialized garments. Such as workwear. And protective clothing. Also dealing in floor care products. Mats, rugs. Some 14-thousand company employees nationwide. But for the first time ever, the Chattanooga area has an Aldo Croatti award winner.
It’s this man: Chickamauga’s Jason Groce. He’s been with the company almost 11 years. The award is handed out every year. Only 11 went out in the year 2021. Jason was one of them!
JASON GROCE; AWARD WINNER; “There’s more to it than just me. It’s a team effort. It takes everybody doing their job. The only bad thing is, there’s so many people that it takes to win the award. It takes a lot of people. I wish I could slice it up!” Jason is one of the company’s service reps. He’s out and about every day. Delivering and working with the customers. He works with more than 100 area businesses each week. To win the award, there is no room for error. One must retain 100 percent of your customers for that fiscal year. In other words, for the year 2021, Jason was el perfecto.
TIM SPENCER, GENERAL MANAGER; “Taking his job seriously. With no stone left unturned. He comes in, he checks his load and makes sure his customer has everything. He makes sure he is organized when he goes to meet the customer. And with communication, he makes sure his customer is aware on a daily basis.” Jason says he wanted to be a machinist when he was younger. Then he kinda fell into this line of work. Says he’s glad he did.
JASON GROCE, AWARD WINNER; “The good Lord has blessed me with a good job. I work with good people. And the opportunity to come to work every day with good health. I’m grateful and blessed.”
