Forensic Pathologist speaks at Benjamin Brown’s trial

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)-The jury trial continues for a man accused of a 2018 murder of a nearly 3 year old girl.

Benjamin Brown’s trial for the death of two-year-old Annie Shell had multiple medical experts speak their opinion on the case.

Forensic Pathologist Dr. Michael Baden was called as an expert and said he can’t say if Annie fell or was pushed but can say in his option she wasn’t hit directly on on the top of head because the falling head has a different injury and reaction then a direct hit.

“The moving head is circled by fluid that slows up the impact on the ground and when you get the impact it’s the vein sticking the skull that creates the injuries on the opposite side,” said Baden.
