Miller Park block of MLK Blvd reopens
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Miller Park project in Chattanooga is one step closer to completion.
This afternoon, Martin Luther King Boulevard was reopened at Miller Park.
Closed road signs were removed and drivers were able to go through.
Mayor Andy Berke says 40 thousand people go through M-L king Boulevard everyday, either by car or by foot.
He says it’s a beautiful front door to our city and that is why the public identified this as a critical project.
The Mayor says the changes were well worth the wait.
“Actually I was surprised by how understanding people in the city were. We got far fewer complaints than I expected and I think it is because people understood this is a big step forward. That is what we see today.”
Miller Park is expected to re-open in July.
