Man shot in Hixson

HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF) – A man was sent to the hospital Friday evening for a gunshot wound.

Hamilton County deputies responded the 1360 block of Meadowood Drive at around 6:45 p.m.

There was a report of a shooting.

Authorities said that they found a man with what appeared to be a small caliber wound to the leg.

They said he was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injures.

The shooting is under investigation.
