House fire displaces family on 14th Avenue
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to numerous calls of a residential fire on 14th Avenue around 10:00 p.m. Monday night.
Firefighters say there was heavy fire coming from the back of the residence when they arrived on the scene.
According to fire officials, everyone was out of the home and uninjured when firefighters arrived.

Chattanooga Fire officials say the fire was extinguished in less than half an hour.
According to Chattanooga Fire, residents say they heard a strange sound and then saw a large amount of flames in the back of the house. Fire officials have ruled the fire accidental but are investigating the cause.
The fire caused an estimated $35,000, officials say, and displaced 3 adults and 2 young children were displaced by the fire.
