Animator’s artwork on display in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)-An artist’s and animator’s work is on display in Chattanooga which will bring people back to their childhood.
The Beatles along with Scooby-Doo, Rugrats, and the Flintstones artwork were on display and for sale all based on the 50-year career of the late Ron Campbell.
Campbell is known for animating or childhood creating extremely popular cartoons like Popeye, Scooby-Doo all the way up to finishing his career with Ed Ed and Eddie.
After he retired he started making artwork of his animations particularly focused on the Beatles where he animated and worked on the yellow submarine and the Beatle’s Saturday morning TV cartoon series.
It’s kind of an internal thing when you see it you instantly go back to your childhood. It’s three generations that Ron represents. Basically, start in the late 50s and he retired in 2008 with Ed, ED, and Eddie so he’s got 50 years of cartoons.
