Chatsworth officer resigns after domestic violence charges
CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WDEF) – A northwest Georgia police officer has resigned after being arrest for a domestic violence case at his home.
Cody Kintz was a Patrol Sergeant for the Chatsworth Police Department.
Last week, Murray County deputies were called to his home to investigate a domestic disturbance.
He wasn’t arrested then, but was charged a couple of days later after a GBI investigation.
The charges are false imprisonment and simple assault.
Kintz had been a Chatsworth officer for seven years.
