Police arrest pair in fatal opioid overdose

Chattanooga (WDEF) – Chattanooga police have charged two people with supplying the drugs in a fatal overdose back in March.

On March 8th, 29 year old Dustin Lowrance was found dead inside a motel room on Williams Street.

The Medical Examiner determined he died from a toxic level of opioids.

The Narcotics Unit began investigating.

They determined that Monica Dunn and Wilmer Sherrard supplied the opioids and were actually there when Lowrance overdosed.

They now face 2nd Degree Murder charges.

The pair were already in jail on other charges, and face more warrants in Dade and Walker counties in Georgia.
