Titans Report For Voluntary Workouts Trying to Forget Last Year’s Miserable Ending

The Tennessee Titans are more like the Tennessee Volunteers right now.
That’s because voluntary workouts have begun, and a couple of veteran players addressed what’s happening with the team.

Even though the Titans are starting anew, it’s still hard to forget that stinkin’ home playoff loss last January to the Bengals.
Said safety Kevin Byard:”More tough because just dealing with all the different questions and having them talk about. Guys you had nine sacks. You lost the game. Honestly man I was just tired of talking about it. It’s one of those deals. Woulda. Shoulda. Coulda.”
Said offensive lineman Ben Jones:”You still see clips on ESPN. Shows stuff all the time of different clips and stuff. You’re always like man. We left out on an opportunity.”
The Titans had the best record in the AFC last year. Matching that feat again this season will be tough given the offseason moves by so many teams.
Said Byard:”Yeah I mean the AFC is loaded. Loaded with a lot of talent, especially quarterback talent. In recent years I don’t really remember anything like this much. That month of March kind of exploded with Russell Wilson coming to the AFC.”
Reporter:”Ben what’s it been like watching a bunch of teams in the AFC really loading up this year?”
Said Jones:”I think we did a good job too.”
The titans did add receiver Robert Woods and maybe more importantly, they got most of their defense back.
Said Byard:”Like I said I though it was big for us going into this offseason, especially keeping

that front four together. That was big for me, especially being a safety. Having those guys getting pressure on the quarterbacks.”
Reporter:”What’s the next step for you guys as a unit?”
Said Byard:”Try to be the top defense in the NFL.”
Said Jones:”We are building confidence as an organization as a team that we can do it. We are the team. Hey why not us?”
