Woman shot on Rawlings Street

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF)- A young woman was shot this evening in the 2000 block of Rawlings St.

According to police, the woman showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Joe Young has lived in the neighborhood for the last two years and heard the gunshots.

Young says, “It makes me feel bad to see young people, young ladies as nice as they look. Stuff like this happens. It don’t make sense, it really don’t. Every time something happen, it’s the young people, the young people. I don’t understand it. I don’t understand.”

CPD says that the woman’s injuries are not life-threatening.
