Wife Spreads Husbands Ashes in the air over Chattanooga
JASPER, Tennessee (WDEF) – Family and friends held an unusual memorial over the weekend for Dan Atkinson.
He was the man who drowned last week in front of his family while kayaking at Ketner’s Mill on the Sequatchie River.
Atkinson was an outdoor enthusiast and worked for the Chattanooga Skydiving Company.
So on Sunday, his wife, Mandy, gathered in mid-air over the Tennessee Valley to spread his ashes.
She made a tandem jump with Justin Silvia of Chattanooga Skydiving with her husband’s ashes in hand.
This is the tribute video they put together of the event.
