FJC event promotes inclusivity
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- For Pride Month, the FJC held an event that teaches about how they can be more inclusive in their everyday lives.
At this event people learned what inclusivity looks like in the workplace and how people can be better neighbors
Different organizations that attend this event were able to present what they do for the community.
People got to her from Natalie Clark, the Chattanooga Library’s first social work, and how she works on inclusivity
“I hope people take away empathy and compassion for their neighbor. It’s OK to be different and it’s OK to live a different life than your neighbor, but learning how to show up for our neighbors and for our friends who are in the queer community” says Natalie Clark, Chattanooga Library’s first social worker.
The FJC will be putting on more events like this in the future, so make sure to go to their website to check them out.
