The streets around Lakeside Academy are getting a little safer, thanks to some help from the state of Tennessee.
The city of Chattanooga just got a 243-thousand dollar state grant.
The money will be used to pay for construction work on streets around the school.
Crews are already working on building sidewalks and crosswalks near Lakeside Academy.
The grant will also pay for programs to encourage students to do more walking and biking.
