Traffic Crash on Suck Creek Road with Fatality

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has identified the  driver of the Elantra who died in the Saturday morning crash.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old John Redman of Marion County died in the crash on Suck Creek Road.

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF) – A man is dead and woman in serious condition after a crash this morning on Suck Creek Road.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says traffic investigators were called to the scene around 8:45 Saturday morning.

Officials believe a Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Suck Creek Road.

The Sheriff’s Office believes that car was coming around a curve, crossed the center line and struck the mini-van head on.

The man driving the Elantra was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office also says the female passenger and driver of the mini-van were transported to a local hospital.

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies and traffic investigators are currently on the scene of an accident that occurred at approximately 8:45am near the 2100 block of Suck Creek Road.

The accident involved two vehicles, a van and a car. Reports at this time are only preliminary, but two people sustained injuries and were transported by HCEMS to a local hospital.

The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

There has been one fatality in association with the accident in one of the involved vehicles.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time until authorities have time to properly notify the deceased’s next-of-kin.

No further details are available at this time. This accident is under investigation.
