Updates on when schools and businesses will reopen

WASHINGTON D.C. (WDEF) – We continue to get new guidelines and closings in the coronavirus pandemic.

President Trump has just announced he wants to get Americans back to work by Easter (April 12).  He says it may be possible to open some areas of the country that have not been hit as hard.

Gov. Bill Lee today announced that Tennessee schools will remain closed through April 24th.  Classes would resume on Monday, April 27th.

Governor Lee has been reluctant to cancel the rest of the school year as some other states have done.

The Great Smoky Mountain National Park shutdown today because of large crowds visiting over the weekend. But their closure is scheduled to last through April 6th.
