“One Chattanooga Plan” approved by Chattanooga City Council
American Rescue Plan Act funds will support the homeless, public safety, neighborhood revitalization and more
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) — The Chattanooga City Council unanimously approved Mayor Tim Kelly’s “One Chattanooga Relief and Recovery Plan” tonight.
This unlocks $30,000,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds for 36 local initiatives.
The city says this represents a major step forward in Mayor Kelly’s commitment to his One Chattanooga Plan.
It’s geared toward tackling “social and economic inequalities in the city, including lack of access to opportunity, housing, mental healthcare, and quality education.”
The mayor says the funds will help “catalyze generational change” in the city.
