local mothers celebrate breastfeeding

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) – Local mothers celebrated breastfeeding.

The Chattanooga Area Breastfeeding Connection held the 6th annual Chattanooga Big Latch On Saturday morning.

This year 98 children latched on to their mothers while breastfeeding simultaneously at the Red Bank United Methodist Church.

The Big Latch On was also an opportunity for new parents to connect with other parents and 30 vendors.

This event joined others across the globe to attempt to beat the world record for breastfeeding at the same time.

Mothers set the local record in 2015 with 116 children.
