Country Star John Michael Montgomery Injured in Bus Wreck

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Country music star John Michael Montgomery is recovering from a crash involving his tour bus Friday afternoon.

It happened on I-75 South in Campbell County, near the Tennessee-Kentucky state line.

That’s according to WVLT-TV in Knoxville.

Montgomery posted on his Facebook page that he and his team were on their way to a concert in North Carolina.

WVLT-TV reports the bus was heading south when it hit an embankment and overturned.

Montgomery said he has some cuts and broken ribs, but is doing well.

Other people on the bus are also recovering from injuries.

Montgomery said in the post that he will “take some time over the next couple of weeks to heal, and be back on the road soon.”
