East Ridge coordinating traffic lights

EAST RIDGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – The city of East Ridge is changing the timing of their traffic signals to try to ease congestion.

The backups have been happening on Ringgold Road.

The city has created a Time of Day Coordinated Traffic Signal Plan.

The good news for commuters is that congestion and wait times have dropped on Ringgold Road.

The bad news is that you have to wait longer now on side streets entering Ringgold Road.

So the city warns drivers to plan accordingly.
