Rain causes flooding on roads in Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) -There are currently several flooded roads.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the following are areas that need to be avoided until the water recedes:

Hale Road @ Daisy Dallas

7000 of Gann Road

5850 Block of Grubb Road Area

5700 Block of Highway 58

7200 Block of Moses Road

Walnut Road at Daisy Dallas Road

Intersection of Austin Road and Old Hixson Pike

8800 Block of Sedman Road

6200 Dayton Boulevard

600 Block of Boy Scout Road

8300 Block of Middle Valley Road

6900 Block of Love Lane

P.I.O. Matt Lea said drivers should avoid low lying areas in Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, and Middle Valley.

He said all drivers should exercise caution, and do not attempt to drive over any roadways with rushing or standing water.
