Share your thoughts on the new Harrison Elementary plans

HARRISON, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Hamilton County School System is inviting parents and the community to look at the plans for a new Harrison Elementary School.

They will hold a community meeting next Tuesday, September 4th at 6pm in the auditorium of the current Harrison Elementary.

The new school will be built on across the street on Highway 58 next to Brown Middle School.

You are invited to take a look at the plans and offer any thoughts on what should be added as the final plans come together.

The new Harrison Elementary will have 80 classrooms, age-appropriate playgrounds, and a gym.

The building will also have Makerspaces, which let students work in groups on STEM activities (science, technology, engineering, and math).

The school will be built for 880 students.
