Access Chattanooga History Center Exhibits Online

(WDEF) The Chattanooga History Center is not officially open for business, but you can now access some of its exhibits online.
Curators recently put about 400 items into an online database.
You can find things like high resolution images of objects and photographs.
One of the first items uploaded was a series of photographs from the Spanish-American war.
Officials say this will serve as a great tool for teachers and students.
Marie Bourassa Cullis serves as Curator of Collections at the Chattanooga History Center.  She said, "What having an online presence does is it allows anyone with an internet connection to access researchable items, so students, teachers can access the website to teach in their classrooms."
Funding issues have prevented the museum from opening.
Officials want to eventually upload more than a thousand items.
