Why Adele isn’t Nominated for a Grammy
Adele will be performing at the Grammys Monday night, but she won’t be winning any awards.

Don’t worry, the Grammy committee isn’t snubbing one of the most popular songstresses of all time. Rather, Adele’s absence from the nominee list is actually because her new album “25” dropped about a month after the nomination cut-off date. Her newest hits dropped on November 20, 2015. The qualifying dates for this year’s awards are October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. That’s why Taylor Swift has so many nominations even though her album “1989” was released in 2014. Who would want to choose between Adele and T-Swift anyways?
This is a blessing in disguise for fans of the British singer. “25” will be coming back in full force for the 2017 Grammys, so that’s a guaranteed Adele appearance.
Of course, as much as some people might like them to be, the Grammys aren’t ALL about Taylor and Adele. Click here for a full list of Grammy Nominees. You can also check out our list of what to expect during this year’s biggest night in music.
