Adoptions made at the Humane Educational Society’s Kelly McCoy Adopt-a-thon

Kelly McCoy Adopt-a-thonThe Humane Educational Society had a successful Adopt-a-thon Saturday afternoon.
The event was in honor of local KZ 106 radio personality and animal advocate Kelly McCoy. The adoption fee was waived for adult dogs at the event. Mary Bowman is a volunteer with the HES, she said there is no better way to honor McCoy than to find pets loving homes

“She’s a legend. She’s amazing. She’s one of my heros. I know that in Chattanooga that she for many many years has supported the humane society and everything that goes on here,” Bowman said. “She just loved the dogs and cats. So, I can think of no better way to honor her than to have an Adopt-a-thon every year for her.”

Along with the need for adoption the HES said they are needing donations of kitten food for their foster program.
