Alabama’s Senator Jeff Sessions is Trump’s pick for Attorney General
NEW YORK (WDEF) – CBS News is reporting that the Donald Trump transition team has asked Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions to serve as U.S. Attorney General.
That would make him the top prosecutor in the land.
Sessions was a prosecutor in southern Alabama, a U.S. Attorney, and Alabama Attorney General before running for the U.S. Senate in 1998.
He lives in Mobile.
Senator Sessions was an early Trump supporter, bonding with him over trade and immigration issues.
