Alcoa vs. Notre Dame

Alcoa, TN (WDEF & WVLT) – Notre Dame got a rematch with Alcoa in the state playoff semifinals Friday night.

The Irish lost to Alcoa last year in the state semis thanks in large part to five turnovers.

And miscues and turnovers haunted the Irish again.

They trailed 21-2 at the half, and it didn’t get any better on the opening kick of the third quarter.

Alcoa’s Dustin Clabough fumbled it.

Once he picks it up, he does a lot of damage.

He zips down the field some 90-yards before he’s tacked at the six yard line

Very next play, the give to Malik Salter.

The big guys scores to make it 28-2…

As we mentioned, turnovers hurt the Irish once again.

Alex Darras is picked off by Garrett Livesay.

And this is a pick six to make it 35-2.

No luck of the Irish this time as Alcoa wins 42-2.
