Amazon Adding 100,000 Jobs Over the Next 18 Months

Chattanooga (WDEF)  Amazon plans to hire 100-thousand additional full-time workers over the next 18 months, as it continues to expand fulfillment centers across the country.

The e-commerce giant employs about 45-hundred full-time workers locally and doubled that number during the holidays.

It’s unknown how many of the new positions will be created in Chattanooga and Charleston.

Amazon operates 70-fulfillment centers in the U-S… With plans to add new locations in Texas and California this year.
