American Bus Association names Cornbread Festival a Top 100 Attraction

South Pittsburg, TN (WDEF) – The American Bus Association announced Tuesday the 20th Annual National Cornbread Festival to be held April 23-24, 2016 has been designated as one of its Top 100 Events in North America for 2016 by a tourism industry selection committee.

The last full weekend each April, South Pittsburg becomes an open-air mall where the streets are filled with live entertainment, juried arts and crafts, and foods to taste. This Southern cuisine festival honors cornbread with the National Cornbread Cook-off. Enjoy juried arts and crafts, music, exhibits, cornbread, carnival, entertainment, food, cook-offs, children’s corner, car show. Tour the Lodge foundry to see how Lodge Cast Iron is made. Tour the residential historic district. Come see what’s cookin’ in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

The American Bus Association celebrates 34 years of the Top 100 Events Program, originally begun as a way for motorcoach operators to incorporate new product into their itineraries. 2016 is the second time the American Bus Association has selected the National Cornbread Festival as a top 100 event on the basis of its broad appeal, skill at handling large groups and other criteria.
