Animal agencies working together to reduce overpopulation

Several animal agencies are trying to spread the word about spay and neutering feral cats in Hamilton county.

McKamey Animal Center, Humane Educational Society, Cat Clinic and Wally’s Friends are all participating in the cause.
Representatives from Wally’s Friends say they have affordable spay and neuter for cats. Eileen Price, Wally’s Friends said, "McKamey and Wally’s Friends will actually be doing the surgeries of course but HES and the Cat Clinic are helping to network we are all trying to get the word about how important it is to reduce the population of cats. If you like cats or you don’t, this is a great situation for everyone."

Price said if you live in the city limits, feral cats are free at McKamey Animal Adoption Center. Anywhere outside of city limits, Wally’s Friends can spay or neuter your cat for twenty five dollars. Domestic cats at Wally’s Friends are thirty dollars, both male and female.

If you have cats that need to be spay or neutered call 423-248-2028.
