CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – TDOT crews worked overnight to fix a large pothole on Highway 27.
The hole opened up on the 12th street bridge in the northbound outside lane on Tuesday.
As a result, the M. L. King Boulevard exit has been closed until the repairs are complete.
The latest estimate is that they will finish the work around 1PM.
TDOT has had to repair several such potholes over the last few months on Highway 27 bridges.
They hope to soon replace those aging bridges, but in the meantime, must make temporary repairs.
