Areas surrounding Wacker facility told to shelter in place
Neighbors who live near the Wacker Plant in Charleston Tennessee are being told to shelter in place.
An alert that went out this afternoon said “Due to a devloping situation at the Wacker facility in Charleston it is recommended that people remain indoors until further notice.”
There are mulitple reports of a chemical release and fire inside that facility.
The Cleveland-Bradley County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is overseeing the situation.
No official word yet *what* that chemical was or how big the fire got.
