Atlanta news anchor, Amanda Davis, arrested on license issue
MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) – A longtime news anchor in the Atlanta area has been arrested on a traffic charge.
Local news outlets report Wednesday that Amanda Davis was arrested Tuesday night on a suspended license.
A Cobb County Sheriff’s Office booking report says she was arrested at Cumberland Mall.
WXIA-TV reports that Davis was in a blue Mercedes when she was pulled over for an expired tag. That’s when the officer realized she was driving on a suspended license.
The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports the suspended license was linked to Davis’s previous DUI arrests.
Davis has spoken previously about her battles with alcohol. She is scheduled to start a new job in January with WGCL.
