ATM smash & grab didn’t work in East Ridge

EAST RIDGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Early Sunday morning, around 2:30 someone crashed into a convenience store on Ringgold Road and tried to steal an ATM.

It was all caught on surveillance video.

East Ridge police say the van the they used was stolen.

But after all the trouble, the thieves did not get away with their prize.

This morning, the ATM is still at the smashed store front, attached by one bolt that did not give way.

Police say they believe the suspects were involved in a similar incident in Georgia.
