Attorney for man beaten by officer Kaylor issues a statement
"We applaud the work of District Attorney Pinkston and the investigators at the TBI in pursuing justice for Mr. Medina-Resendiz and the members of the community, especially after Chief Christol and the Red Bank Police Department commended Officer Kaylor’s actions in this matter and put him back on active patrol. Mr. Pinkston’s unwavering pursuit of accountability in this case is a shining example of the principle that the Rule of Law applies to both the powerful and the dispossessed alike," said defense Attorney Andrew Free.
Free and Kyle Mothershead are representing Medina-Resindez.
Their client was seen on Kaylor’s dash-cam taking a beating at the hands of officer Kaylor during a traffic stop.
Since that video was released, there has been public outcry to have Kaylor fired and face criminal charges.
Last Friday, the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office announced the case against Kaylor would go to a grand jury following an investigation by the TBI.
On Tuesday, Kaylor resigned from the Red Bank Police force.
Wednesday morning, WDEF learned that Kaylor was indicted for the beating he put on Medina-Resindez that resulted in Medina-Resendiz suffering a fractured skill.
