Attorneys say Roberts Trial still on track for April

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Attorneys for a man indicted in the murder of a Chattanooga businessman last year made a brief appearance in court Thursday morning.

Darryl Roberts is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Chris Wright in front of Patten Towers in September 2023.

While Roberts was not in the courtroom, his attorney said they are still on track for a trial date of April 1-st.

Currently both sides of the case are in discovery.
