Aunt Decorates Niece’s Roadside Memorial for Christmas
SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF)- If you drive along Dayton Pike in Soddy-Daisy in the evening, you may notice a Christmas themed roadside memorial.
The memorial is in remembrance of Autumn King, who passed away in a car crash in January 2022 at the age of 22.
Her aunt, Kim Green, who raised Autumn from the age of six, has maintained a roadside memorial ever since her funeral at the spot she perished.

She constantly updates the memorial site at least every two weeks with different themes throughout the year.
For the Christmas season, she has heavily decorated her memorial in Christmas, which Green says was Autumn’s favorite holiday.
Green remarked of Autumn, “I would do anything for her. That’s why I come down and do this for her. She would light up a room when she walked in with her smile. She would give you the shirt off of her back. She never met a stranger. Everything about her was just wonderful.”
Green says that Autumn is survived by three sons.
