Authorities investigate brush fire in Bradley County

BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – At around 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Bradley County 911 got a call reporting a small brush fire on Dalton Pike.

This is near the Waterville Community School.

Authorities then discovered ten additional locations along Dalton Pike reporting similar fires. 

The fires stretched over a six-mile span.

The largest of these fires, located at 6600 block of Dalton Pike, covered approximately one acre.

“Right now we’re asking for the public’s help if you know anything you have any information in the area around the time of four o’clock on Dalton Pike, something that may or may not have been suspicious, please let fire investigators know because your tips could help us solve this,” said Adam Lewis, Public Information Officer Bradley County. 

Authorities had to close the road temporarily while firefighters worked to put out those flames.

Arson investigators were dispatched to various fire scenes to gather evidence and try to figure out who is setting them.
