Authorities Search for Suspect Involved in Labor Shootings
Police are ramping up the search for suspect Stephen Maurice Mobley.
Mobley is accused of killing 22-year-old Jasmine Hines and 23-year-old Rashaud Taylor and injuring a third person on Labor Day.
“Mobley is considered armed and dangerous man. We do have every reason to believe Mobley shot 3 people yesterday”, said Police Chief Fred Fletcher.
Mobley is no stranger to law enforcement.
In 2005 Mobley was involved in a shooting at College Hill Courts, which resulted in the death of Elton Hall.
Mobley sent police on a manhunt for several hours, but was later located at his mother’s home.
Mobley was convicted of manslaughter, but was later released from prison in 2010.
Then just two years later, Mobley found himself back behind bars.
Mobley was accused of the death of Gregory Watkins at the Delta Express Gas Station.
The trial ended in a hung jury.
Mobley has now been added to the TBI’s Most Wanted list.
“Stephen Maurice Mobley, a 32-year-old black male…for first degree murder times two. Attempted first degree murder times one, aggravated assault times two and possession with a firearm with during a dangerous felony. CPD and our partners such as the district attorney and United States Marshall Service are working diligently to bring Mobley into custody to face justice he deserves”, said Chief Fletcher.
