News 12 This Morning: Award-winning local author, Deborah Levine joins News 12’s Amelia Greer to discuss her latest publications.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — An award-winning author is releasing a teaching guide and documentary based on World War II.

‘UNTOLD: Stories of a World War II Liberator’ is inspired by Deborah Levine’s father, a WWII veteran.

The Teaching Guide will include letters from her father during the war. They aim to bring a celebration of hope, love, and liberation to readers.

A documentary of the book will feature American actor and film writer, Dylan Kussman.

Her memoir, ‘The Liberator’s Daughter’ is another work that highlights her upbringing and life in the Jewish culture.

In addition to her WWII works, Levine is releasing her new book entitled, ‘THE ART OF RESILIENCE: From Pain to Promise.’

The author has a vast catalogue of 20 books ranging from religious diversity to historical resources. She landed in Chattanooga after surviving the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995.

Levine contributed to the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga as their executive director while she continued her work as a writer.

Since then, she’s worked in diversity education and intercultural experiences throughout Chattanooga. She’s currently the Editor in Chief of the American Diversity Report, a cross-cultural magazine, global writers colony, and consulting firm.

She will be holding a book signing at the Barnes & Noble in Hamilton Place Mall from 2-4 p.m. on September 29.
