Bama Prepares For National Title Game With New Offensive Coordinator

Alabama beat Clemson 45-40 in last year’s national championship game.
But it might be hard for Monday’s title rematch to produce 85-points.
Both the Tide and Tigers are ranked in the top ten in scoring defense, and Bama is breaking in a brand new offensive coordinator.
Steve Sarkisian replaced Lane Kiffin as Bama’s offensive coordinator just one week before the national title game. But Tide coaches and players claim the transition has gone smoothly.
Said Tide OL Cam Robinson:”When the world hears new offensive coordinator like the week before. It’s kind of like panic, but we haven’t had any of that.”
Said head coach Nick Saban:”Guy has been with us the whole year. The whole football season. He knows the offense. He knows the players. He has worked on the game plans every week. I just feel like I have to make decisions based on what’s best for the players to have the best chance to be successful. We made the decision, and we’re not talking about it anymore.”
Maybe Sakisian can help the Tide’s offensive execution, which was lacking against Washington.
Said Saban:”Well we had 25 negative plays in the last game, so what do you think I saw?”
Added Robinson:”Leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I honestly felt like. I almost felt like we lost because we performed so bad as an offense.”
Alabama has the nation’s top defense, but will it be enough against DeShaun Watson. Last year the Clemson quarterback had nearly 500-yards of total offense against the Tide.
Said DB Minkah Fitzpatrick:”After last year to be honest with you it didn’t feel like we won the game because of how bad we played.”
Said Saban:”Deshaun Watson is you know I think maybe arguably the best college football player in the country.”
Reporter:”This season we have seen you bring in a couple of previous players to emulate opposing quarterbacks. Is that something you plan to do in preparation for Deshaun Watson?”
Said Saban:”Yep.”
