Bethel Christian Academy expanding to non-residential students

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Bethel Bible Village in Hixson will soon embark on an expansion.

They are expanding their school, Bethel Christian Academy, to include non-residential students called day students.

The academy historically has only served children who lived on campus, of which their current capacity is 32 children.

The project will take two years and cost around two point five million dollars to complete and was approved by Bethel Bible’s board on Tuesday.

The CEO of Bethel Bible Village, Rosalind Connor, said, “Day students come to us primarily through referrals, from other families that place their kids with us. They come from public schools, they come from different private schools. They are referred by school counselors, by social workers. It’s kids who would benefit from that small school setting that we offer at Bethel Christian Academy.”

Connor said she expects the school’s population to expand to around 75 students.
