Biannual movie night in Ringgold

The Lyons club is all about giving back to their community.

Randall Franks, Treasurer for the Lion’s Club said, “We’re partnering here. This is a joint venture with the Ringgold Convention and Visitor Bureau and the Lion’s Club, and we’ve done this for many years to bring together our community in a positive way.”

What better way to do that than with a movie night.

“Tonight we are playing the movie ‘Sing’ and it’s aimed at families coming out to come together and have an experience here at the historic Ringgold Depot,” said Franks.

Franks is happy that they can provide nights like this for families. He said, “especially in an economy like this it’s very difficult for families to bring all the kids out and be able to afford concessions, go see a movie and just have a fun night out.”

The night not only comes with a free movie, but any donations received go to providing glasses to the community.

“These are ways we fund what we do year long as part of the Lion’s Club to provide vision glasses to needy Catoosans as well as many of our projects we do for the youth and the community as well,” said Franks.

If you missed tonight, you can catch “The Polar Express” during Christmas time
