Blair Road Partially Closed Due to House Fire on Whisper Pond Lane
APISON, Tenn. — A house fire on the morning of January 28 has caused Blair Road to close from Parkerson to Whisper Pond Lane.
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department (TCVFD) says that residents of the home were awoken to the smell of smoke and found their front porch on fire.
The firefighters responded around 5:30 a.m. and an operation began to knock down the flames and stop the flames from spreading.
They say the house is located down a long driveway, over 2000 feet from the nearest hydrant at the intersection of Blair Road & Parkerson Road.
Due to supply lines on the roadway, Blair Road is closed from Parkerson to Whisper Pond Lane, TCVFD says.
The cause of the fire will be under investigation by the TCFD Fire Marshal’s Office.
They also say the American Red Cross is responding to assist the family.
